A monopolistic Naturopathic Physician Licensing Bill

Dear Senator ________________________________:
- SB2790 endangers consumer health freedoms and natural health care practitioners right to practice.
- SB2790 would make it a crime to practice naturopathy unless you were a graduate of a small group of particular schools.
- SB2790 decreases consumer options for New York health seekers and creates an unwanted monopoly in the state.
- SB2790 takes away New York citizen’s “FREEDOM OF CHOICE” for affordable, accessible, alternative healthcare.
- SB2790 would destroy thousands of entrepreneurial natural health based business taking away thousands more people’s informed access to, in many cases, their only readily available source of local complementary and alternative health care information.
As a citizen and consumer, I want the freedom to choose from unlicensed health care practitioners in New York. I do not support unnecessary licensure, registration, or regulation for complementary and alternative health care practitioners that are not posing an imminent risk of harm to the public.
Minnesota, California, Rhode Island, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Idaho all have health freedom laws that allow unlicensed practitioners to practice freely and protect consumers’ choice. New York health seekers deserve to have their options protected!
