Sunshine Health Freedom Foundation:  A Working Team Serving You!

Clinton Miller

Clinton Miller is a leading health freedom strategist and advocate in the United States health freedom movement, and an essential team player on crucial conference calls and meetings that have to discern how to move forward.  Clinton started his political action career in Utah in the 1950's, 8 times defeating water fluoridation proposals. In 1962 he went to Washington, and from '62 to '76 helped to oppose a proposal by the FDA which would have limited potency of vitamins and minerals, finally helping to pass the Proxmire bill, which said the FDA could not limit potency unless it was found to be intrinsically dangerous. This bill became the basis of DSHEA, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. He also helped to pass a bill saying that in medical research, human beings could not be used as guinea pigs without informed consent. From 1976 - 1996 he worked as the Executive Director of the National Health Federation.

Clinton currently works as a health freedom legislative advocate for Sunshine Health Freedom Foundation.  He led the development of a resolution to demand that persons representing the US in international forums represent US law and the wishes of the people is the basis for the SHFF  Codex campaign launched nationally and in Washington DC. Clinton Miller is also a Board Member of National Health Freedom Action and is instrumental in health freedom bills at the state, federal and international level. He lives in St. George, Utah.

 Diane Miller JD

No relation to Clinton, but wonderful colleague, Diane Miller comes to SHFF with          a vast experience in helping to shape laws and public policies that protect consumer access to maximum health care options.  Diane works with SHFF consulting to help protect the rights of practitioners to practice herbalism, nutritional consulting, traditional naturopathy, homeopathy, and many other healing arts, and believes firmly that all of these healing arts should remain free to practice and to access in the public domain.  In addition, Diane is a leading consultant on federal and international issues, having provided formal comments to the FDA on Complementary and Alternative Medicine and freedom of speech, and having attended Codex meetings in Geneva Switzerland and Italy.

Diane’s role as Legal and Public Policy Director of the National Health Freedom Coalition (NHFC) and it's sister organization, the National Health Freedom Action (NHFA) is to provide information and resources to health freedom decision-makers across the country, involving state, national, and international health freedom issues.  Miller works continuously to help monitor and promote an understanding of various forms of legislation, international trade guidelines, and Charters.

Susan Gingerich PhD

Susan is Sunshine Health Freedom Foundation’s Coordinator for State Coordinators.  She started in 2005 as State Coordinator for Ohio, and lobbied, first against a registration bill, then for a safe harbor exemption bill. There is a great working team in Ohio and their bill in the 2009 session has had successful hearings but was not acted on because the session was not reconvened.   E-Mail her if you would like to fill a State Coordinator position or work with a team already in place.  She can help you organize your team,  help train grassroots lobbyists, and help you with mobilizing people in your state to oppose, or support a bill that moves you toward the goal of a safe harbor exemption bill in your state.
